This article uses public official sources rather than MLAMH proprietary data. The goal is to interpret market signals and turn them into practical implications for talent and publishers.

The key number

According to the Saudi Film Commission yearbook connected to Saudi Film Confex 2024, the KSA Incentive Program supported 49 projects between 2020 and September 30, 2024, with estimated production spend in Saudi Arabia of SAR 1.16 billion. The same source says international productions accounted for 61% of expenditure generated through the cash-rebate track, with many incentivised productions taking place in Riyadh, Makkah and the Eastern Region.

These figures do not mean all of that spending goes to casting or talent. They do show that real production activity is expanding, and larger production activity increases the need for ready teams, locations, suppliers, actors, models and crew that can be discovered efficiently.

What does this mean for talent?

Opportunity starts before the shoot. A current photo, clear city, travel flexibility, skills, languages or dialects, and useful portfolio material make a profile easier to assess. As production scales, professional readiness becomes more valuable than simply having a social-media presence.

What does it mean for publishers and producers?

More projects make manual talent sourcing through scattered messages and accounts less efficient. Clear briefs, location and role filters, shortlists and structured conversations become operating tools rather than nice-to-have features.

Where MLAMH fits

MLAMH should not pretend to have proprietary market data before the sample is large enough. Our role today is to build the infrastructure the market needs: structured talent profiles, clear requests, faster discovery and an organized selection flow. As platform activity grows, MLAMH can later publish first-party indicators based on real usage rather than estimates.
