How to Write a Clear Casting Brief on MLAMH
A practical guide for publishers and project owners to write a clear casting brief and improve talent fit from the start.

A good brief does not need to be long. It needs to answer the questions that materially affect talent selection.
1. Start with the project goal
Briefly explain what is being produced: a commercial, e-commerce shoot, brand content, short film, or another project. This gives talent context before they read the details.
2. Define the talent you need
State whether you need an actor or model, then add approximate age, gender, city, and only the requirements that genuinely affect selection.
3. Describe the task clearly
Explain what the talent will actually do: perform a scene, join a photo shoot, appear on camera, or model a product. Avoid vague descriptions that leave the work unclear.
4. Add date, location and compensation
Clear timing, city and compensation details reduce unnecessary questions and improve the quality of applicants.
5. Separate requirements from preferences
If something is mandatory, say so. Keep preferences separate so you do not exclude otherwise suitable talent.
